Biography
James, a founder member of Shameless Films, is a writer, animator and film maker. In 2004 his DIY comedy short The Curse of Jeff was short listed for the BBC Talent new filmmakers award. This led to a commission to write and direct a further short film, The Space Time Envelope, starring Colin and Fergus, for BBC3. In 2006 he won BBC3 and Comedy Soup's "Funny Hunt" with the animation The Prophecies of Nostradamus, subsequently broadcast on Comedy Shuffle in January 2007. He has also recently had material on Parsons and Naylor’s Pull Out Sections on Radio 2 and joined the writing team for a new BBC3 sketch show, Spacehopper. His work has been screened by the BBC, ITV, HypTV and Propeller TV in the UK, and by Rooftop Comedy and Blip TV in America. He is currently working on two new one minute shorts for the North East Movies website.
