Biography
Yorkshire born Andrew Leckonby was once a silk screen printer and designer by trade. After graduating from been a mature student at Luton University with a Media Practices degree, he came back to the North. Newcastle upon Tyne to be exact, where he directed a UK Council and Northern Film & Media funded short, 'Lock & Key' (2004). Then helped produce and edit a contending short for the Northern 48 Hour Film Challenge, 'The Door Stop' (2005), which as gone on to a number of festivals throughout the UK. Penned and directed short, 'Air' (2006), also went on to several festivals including Italy's DigiFest.net 2007 and Bradford Film Festival 2007, shown with feature, 'Ten Canoes' (2006). He has since co-wrote and directed vigilante drama, 'Repercussions' (2009) with close friend, John Raine, which won Award of Merit at IndieFest, California, as well as been shown at Festival of Fantastic Films 2009, Manchester. He is currently writing a feature with John Raine based on 'Repercussions', entitled 'Bad Samaritan'.
