NFM Sound and Vision Scheme open for entries

  Are you inspired by music? 

Have you ever been motivated by sound or music for your film ideas?

Do you find it difficult to find regional composers?

If yes, the Sound & Vision Scheme could be for you!

Northern Film & Media and Generator North East have joined forces to deliver a unique scheme aimed at drawing upon the collective talents of  North East musicians, remixers and filmmakers . One filmmaker will have the opportunity to work with regional band Jimmy and the Sounds to produce a music video for the remixed version of their track ‘Sounds'.

Filmmakers are invited to submit a video idea for the track. You can listen to the track at Latest News section of Northern Film & Media's website.

We will commission one music video with a production budget of £7000  and be mentored by Dick Carruthers.

The scheme is open to directors, writer/directors or producers, production companies attached to a director based in the North East region (Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley). Applicants must be over 18 and not in full-time or undergraduate education.
