New Talent Micro Movies Winner Announced

Northern Film & Media's New Talent Micro Movies competition has been won by Mel O'Connor for his film 'My Favourie Toy'.
As part of the prize, Mel O'Connor won £250 worth of kit hire vouchers kindly donated by Picture Canning North.
Over 500 people voted in the New Talent Micro Movies competition, a scheme aimed at providing emerging filmmakers in the region with the opportunity to secure their first professional commission. Run in partnership with Shudderfilms, the scheme saw 5 one minute short films made, each with a budget of £1,000.
The other films to feature in the scheme were Soft Prey by Nick Evans, A Film About a Spaceman by Chris Devlin, Concerning Heaven and Hell by Mark Lenthall, and The Factory by Jessica Green.
