Dear Capturefilms, perhaps you should check out what IF Films, the makers of your beloved 5 Items Only, have to say about Breather. They feel it has a strong narrative, and I agree. I would also like to point out that if you can't experiment in a ninety second film then when can you experiment? Breather is exceptionally well shot, very atmospheric and intense, great sound track, an exploration of surreality - how much more are you expecting in ninety seconds? I too am a fan of 5 Items Only but I don't see that it has any more "point" than Breather. If you read the credits of Breather quite carefully they will tell you what all the other people did on the film. You might be interested to know that it's quite common practice to have several people working on a film, each taking responsibility for specific areas in which they specialise. Perhaps you should try this approach with some of your own films one day. Who knows, you might even win some awards.
Haven't capturefilms missed the point that sometimes there's far too much point in this life and consistently having the point hammered home is now medically recognised as point overload. It's also pointless worrying about lack of point as this can lead to a nasty point paranoia - which takes very strong drugs to bring that nice balance back to life between pointed and pointless again. As I'm sure John Lennon was aware. Mila de Rupertcova (aka middle aged little cracker)
