This film capture the beauty of old fashioned machines. I learnt to type on one of those typewriters, and I still sew occasionally on a hand operated Singer (and no I'm not that old!) and there was something almost organic about them. Unlike electric machines that feel like they have a life of their own, these machines were almost an extension of my own body. Hearing the sounds and the rhythym of The Factory was soothing and lulling. The simplicity of the cut-out animation, enhanced this film beautifully.
For some reason this film is not playing as intended so I have uploaded it to Vimeo here: http://vimeo.com/3559788 so it can be viewed in it's non-pixelated state, until this issue has been solved. Jessica
